Town of Walden Building Permit Fee Description

Roof Repair:

Removal of layers/overlay, regardless of the type of roofing materials, requires a minimum permit of $26.55. Areas of less than 100 square feet do not require a permit to repair.

Mobile Homes:

A moving permit must be purchased at the Jackson County Treasurer’s office. In the Jackson County Courthouse prior to moving a mobile or modular home in the city limits of Walden. A moving permit from the Town of Walden is also required. Set up requirements are availed from the Town of Walden Building Inspector at the Walden Town Hall.

Modular and Independent Mobile Homes:

Use preceding fee schedule and base valuation on work to be performed for installation and finish work; plus, accessory structures- not to include modular or independent mobile home.

Mileage:

To all fees, there may be added mileage cost for the travel of the Building Official at a rate allowed by law for municipal travel.

Non-Compliance:

Any person who commences any work on a building, structure, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a fee established by the building official that is DOUBLE the amount of the normal required permit fees.
